That is the result that we delivered for Euro Axle, followed by £62,000 in the following six weeks.
The Problem
Euro Axle Systems Ltd manufacture bespoke axle assemblies for the trailer industry. Every order starts with a build specification — and until recently, getting that specification from a customer was a process that hadn’t changed in years.
A PDF form would be emailed to the customer. The customer would print it, fill it in by hand, scan it, and email it back. Euro Axle would then print the returned form, manually prepare a quotation, file the paperwork, and follow up by phone. From first contact to a quote in the customer’s hands, the process routinely consumed two or more hours of staff time — per enquiry.
With a growing customer base and an increasing volume of build requests, the manual overhead was becoming a real constraint on the business. Especially for orders that did not convert.
The Solution
We built a bespoke internal portal from the ground up, designed specifically around how Euro Axle operates.
The centrepiece is a digital build request workflow. Sending a build form to a customer now takes two clicks. A link is emailed to the customer directly from the portal. The only thing the member of staff has to do is enter the email address, or select the customer if they are already in the system. The customer completes the form digitally, and the submission lands automatically in the portal, parsed and ready to act on.
From there, raising and sending a quote takes seconds. No printing. No scanning. No filing. No phone tag.
We also built a full quotation management system into the platform, giving the Euro Axle team visibility of every active, pending, and completed quote in one place — with customer records, order history, and delivery details all linked.
The Result
The portal went live and the numbers spoke for themselves.
Within six weeks, Euro Axle had processed over £30,000 in quotations through the platform, with a 76% conversion rate from build form submission to accepted quote. Over 140 customers were onboarded in that period.
The two-hour-per-quote manual process has been reduced to under 30 seconds end to end. Staff time that was previously consumed by admin is now spent on the work that actually matters.
What’s Next
The portal is the foundation for a much larger programme of work. Planned phases include a full order management and inventory system, a trade ordering portal for distributors, and a storefront system, enabling Euro Axle’s distribution partners to sell directly to their own customers, with orders flowing automatically into Euro Axle’s fulfilment pipeline.
